Elliot got a new job in Pittsburgh shortly after graduation. He’s been fortunate to put his Kent State University Business (Marketing Management) degree to work right away with a company called Live Nation, promoting concerts for their regional office. But for the last two months, he’s been working remotely. This has allowed him to finish out the lease on his place in Kent while taking his time to research a good long-term location for his move to Pittsburgh (his boss was encouraging to take his time in this process).

But with the start of a new lease cycle on August 1st, we moved Elliot to Pittsburgh today! Above, you can see a picture of what we looked like and felt like at the front end of the move…

And then here’s what we looked like and felt like at the back end of the move. 😂

Everything went remarkably well, all things considered. The heat and humidity were oppressive, but the rain held off. We barely got Elliot’s couch up the narrow, twisting staircase in the building — but we did it. He’s now got his own studio apartment in the attic space of an old brick building in the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

We’re totally wiped out, physically and emotionally, but we’re very glad we could help Elliot with this momentous transition.
