The End of Winter

Cor's Snowman

It’s Spring Break here in Kent now. After school today, Cor brought home a project he’d been working on this week. It perfectly summarizes the shift from winter to spring that we’re currently experiencing. Here’s Cor’s story (with my translation, for readability):

Cor made a beautiful snowman. But Olivia came out and blow-dried him out. It destroyed almost the whole thing except his face. Then Elliot thought he was getting cold, so Elliot put a blanket on him. And it melted his face.

Take that, winter. You were beautiful and fun while you lasted. But now it’s time for you to go. We’ll use hair dryers and blankets and whatever else we need to use to get rid of you. We’re ready for Spring now.
