The political landscape at a national level (from 2006 but still accurate, IMHO):
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Krouwel

On a municipal level CDA tends to be much more right-wing than on the national level.

Less invasive government= right wing
Open to immigrants= left wing
Religious= center

So....what's more important to you personally?
If your 1-2-3 is also your actual ranking, then on a national level I'd say Christen Unie (CU).

Most of your issues might play a certain role in local elections, but it's the national elections where they really matter, because legislation is made at the national level.

Great advice! Seriously, very helpful. I still wish there was a way to pose a specific question to a party (for example, "How would your party feel about my wife, an immigrant spouse of someone here as a 'religious teacher,' getting a job?") and hear their response to that question... But of course the logistics of this would be impossible.

So working with generalizations, I would indeed say that my listing of the personal factors that I included is correctly prioritized, as I listed it. And thus, the grid that you referenced if very helpful in confirming some ideas that had already been developing.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'm allowed to vote in the national elections, as an immigrant (at least this is what I heard once) -- but if anyone out there has a vote that could be cast to help me get my own national vote in this country to which I pay taxes and commit my life energies, then I would certainly be grateful for it. And in the meantime, I'll just do my part with the local elections.
